Customer was remodeling their home and needed to rip and replace their front patio.
The customer had bought a home with a slab on grade foundation and wanted to move some plumbing. We had to tear out their existing front patio and replace it. We tore out the existing concrete and dug the owner a ditch for plumbers to come in and install a drain.
The biggest challenge by far was the tear out. We knew the waterlines went into the house right in the corner, so we had to be very careful as to not hit it. We took it slow, and got it done.
After the plumbers were done doing their thing, we came back and formed up the new front patio. The customer was very relaxed and just kept saying they wanted “whatever was easiest”. We decided to put a small touch on it that would make it feel like a home, as opposed to just having a piece of concrete in front of a house. The day of the pour was a nice cold day, so we had lots of time to add whatever extra flare we wanted to.
If you need a patio or stoop on your home, let us know!
