Customer wanted to tie two different walls together.
This is the same job as the previous just with a little different goal in mind. The customer had an existing eco block wall they wanted tied into the new one. Doing corners on eco block walls can be challenging, especially when they don’t make a perfect right angle with each other. If you’ve ever seen eco blocks you know they have knobs on top like building blocks that allow them to lock into each other. When they don’t sit right those knobs ge in the way of the blocks locking together.
The two walls were not a 90 degree angle from each other, nor were they the same height. We decided, with the customer, the best course of action would be to tie them together by pouring the corner. It closes the corner so it can retain the soil that would be there, and it gives an odd circumstance in the wall a good looking finished look.
One challenge was the fact that the existing walls were different heights. We were able to use our chamfer and make it appear as if the two walls were stacked this way on purpose instead of looking like a mistake. A happy accident.
